Skull Appreciation Day Giveaway

We joined the Skull Appreciation Day Blog Hop! I doing so we decided to give away a piece of skull related artwork. This is a 4x5 inch mixed media piece of my Dia de los Poe design. It can easily be hung or just set on a shelf.

What do you need to do to get it?

Rules - we haz em.
  • This is going to be a quickie and will end midnight June 4th
  • This first run is for inside the US only
  • You must leave one comment per person here on this blog post. One entry only per person.
  • We would love it if you left us a comment stating how you found us.
  • In your comment you MUST leave us a way of contacting you, should you win.

All comments will receive a number in the order in which they are left, 1, 2, 3, etc. Then I will run the number of comments into random.org to let it pick the winning number. We will then post a screen capture of the number random has chosen to the blog so everyone will openly know who won. Any spam or duplicate comments will be removed prior to the final count number to be run into the number generator.

We will e-mail the winner privately and ship said Poe panel to them at our cost via first class us postal mail. Please allow 7-10 days for delivery as that is what the post office states but 9 times out of 10 it gets there faster. You do not have to contact us to let us know they have arrived but it would be nice.

PS...PLEASE consider using comment moderation vs word verification...sight impaired visitors can not comment on blogs with word verification, because their "readers" do not recognize the "code" as words.

    1. Susan, actually the criteria for each prize was different and up to the individual sponsor when they would draw for their winner. I noticed above that Carolyn posted the deadline for hers as midnight on the 4th. I did mention on my blog that all visitors needed to read the rules for each giveaway. As I said in my post, the wed deadline is for the Smeared Ink prize and all others were up to the person giving them away.

    2. Carolyn, if you had a problem with my post, I would have appreciated it if you have had come to me as an adult, and we could have discussed it. (instead of going to Tori or Terra)

I did not know that there was going to be allowed a difference in the giveaway times. That is NOT the norm for blog hops, and I did not read about it on Terra's blog.

I did read your rules, but of course since I did not get here until Tuesday, your rules did not do me, or anyone else arriving after Monday any good.

By the way, thanks to you going to them, instead of discussing it with me. They have now banned me from the community.

    3. Susan, first I admit to being new at this, I addressed your statement first here in my comments, I simply did not hit reply to it, I just added a new comment being fairly new to blogging.

Had you read that you would have seen I first thought I has screwed something up and only contacted Tori to appologize for having screwed up the contest to which I was told I had not.

I did not ask them to ban you or anything of the sort so needless to say I also do not appreciate your not having come to me instead of wanting to try to invent that I somehow wronged you publicly. Since you were not the one running the schebang naturally I went to the person I thought I needed to appologize to first.

Short of that all of this could have been avoided had you chosen to keep your snarky remarks to yourself.

  11. I will fix the word verification, I had not intended to have that on as I rather dislike it myself. I appologize for any confusion but was not aware that I was supposed to run my contest for anything other than the 24 hours or that the blog hop was to run till wednesday. That is my bad as I somehow must have missed reading that in my rush to get it all done and setup.
I do not have another poe panel like that and I am just quickly dropping in at the moment but have another different poe piece I can put up if need be. '.

  12. Carolyn, the prize was at the sponsor's discretion. Each sponsor was able to choose what they wanted to give and set-up their own parameters for the giveaway. At the start of the hop it was stated that each of the giveaways would have it's own criteria for winning. Smeared Ink was giving participants until Wednesday at midnight for their prize, but that does mean that all the sponsors were to follow suit. You gave clear instructions and rules. Please do not feel the need to add an additional prize. You have given a freebie to everyone and that is generous enough. Thank you very much for your sponsorship. Your hard work and kind heart are very much appreciated :)
