Rain, Planes and Lightning

Capturing a plane flying by is easy.
Catching lightning requires a little luck.
I caught two videos of it all, but the rain was the real bonus.

They were taken just a few minutes apart.

Power Outage today, Heavy wind, Blowing dirt

So the power went out for most of the people in my area today for damn near 4 hours. In this time we were in the middle of a horrible wind storm. I went outside and shot just a minute of what today was like til the sun started to set.

We were shafted a real sunset for this rather ominous picture of the last of the sunlight fading as the winds finally died down.

Two days ago.
I had intended to post them but got wrapped up in the loss of a friend. This was the sky the night she died. I had no idea at the time. I did not learn til I awoke the next morning.
